A new toy

After my previous post, I can't blame my husband for being a bit concerned when I called him this evening and told him I bought a new toy at my local machine dealer.  He is working out of town for the next month or so, which is allowing me ample opportunity to sneak more than a few new sewing items into the house.  Poor guy, lucky me!

My birthday is coming up later this month so I figured that I would help my husband out and get my own present.  What a thoughtful wife I am!

Anyway, I've taken my new baby out of the box and I am ready to watch the dvd once I get the last of the kiddos in bed this evening.  And now I've got all weekend to play!

You are a very thoughtful wife, they always ask what we want anyway, saves him the trip!!
Looks like you're in for lots of fun!! ♥

Jandi, I just got the Brother 1034d last week. I have used it a bit and more importantly learned how to thread it!!!!
I am thinking of getting one of Georgie Melot's project books.

the DVDs are good. I did find that if I went to windows explorer and opened them in Media Player I could see the videos larger. (a plus for us older folks- that may not matter to a youngster like you!)

Congrats on your new "baby"

Oh yes, and if you got this instead of the long arm then you really saved him a bundle! heheee

Have fun. I have a serger too (not that one) and use it a lot.

Good for you! I've always been a little intimidated by those machines, so I can't wait to hear how you do!

I'd love to have a serger!!

FYI: I gave you a blog award. Feel free to pick it up on my blog. :o)

Tell hubby to look at the bright side - it didn't cost as much as a longarm would have...LOL

However you'd STILL enjoy a longarm if HE insists...LOL

Very nice! I just purchased a new sewing machine (since the one I've been sewing on was my grandma's) and as an added bonus, I am getting a serger for "free" with it!
