This was my first time using minky. Someone at the late sew advised me to use my walking foot while piecing the minky and I am glad I did! It helped a lot but I still had to pin. I hate pinning.
I mentioned before that I have tons of scraps left over. So I am torn. Should I add a pieced border and make it a lap quilt or leave it as a crib sized quilt?
Oh, if you don't know, the fabric is Rainy Days and Mondays from Riley Blake.

Well.....if you don't add the pieced border, do you think you'll find a use for the scraps? If not, then maybe you should put them to use in a border on this quilt.
If nothing else, I figure I can piece the back...or make another quilt. Too many options.
I like it as is...so cheerful. I've made two baby quilts with Minkie...love the feel, hate working with it.
I love those umbrellas . . . I'm dying to get my hands on the green ones, even though I really don't "need" it . . . but they're so cute!
I am loving the graphics of circles on this quilt. I enlarged the photos but cannot tell which fabrics are minky. I LOVE it, I love it, I love it.
And that umbrella fabric - too cool.
I did the three solid rectangles (2 yellow, 1 white) in the minky. I really like the white minky. It has a a nice pattern to it.
I love the fabrics. Is the minky on the back?
I love that new line by Riley Blake. Very cute quilt!
I was thinking about you earlier today. I hadn't seen any posts from you in my google reader thingy. Glad you're doing o.k.!
